Tub Coat is a water-based coating specially formulate for use on all tub finishes, including Acrylic tubs, that protects high-gloss surfaces such as tubs or showers from dirt, stains, abrasions, and paint during construction or remodeling. Virtually eliminates tub repairs and reduces clean up costs. After application and drying, this protective Peelable coating is removed in one piece like a big garbage bag enclosing all trash and debris revealing a fixture in showroom condition! The total cost adds less than $30 of coating to an average $175,000 home!

When sprayed on, the coating dries to form a tough, durable protective skin that peels cleanly and easily upon removal. It may also be brushed on. Apply product evenly to produce a dry film thickness of approximately 7-10 mils or wet film thickness of 14 to 20 mils. Ideal thickness necessary for removal is 1/16 inch (two coats). Available in 1 gallon or 5 gallon sizes. 1 Gallon of TubCoat will thoroughly cover two standard 5' bathtubs. Drying time is dependent on temperature. When brushed on, product will dry in approximately 24 hours. The sprayed coating dries in 30 minutes to four hours depending on the film thickness.

TubCoat can be removed by peeling. Avoid breathing vapors/mists that occur during spraying. Wear a painter's mask or other suitable respiratory device when applying this product. Avoid skin and eye contact. Do not allow product to freeze. Store in a clean dry area with a minimum temperature of 50F. TubCoat is non-flammable in liquid or dry state. TubCoat is available in one gallon and five gallon disposable tote buckets. Totes feature an inner bladder that collapses as product is dispensed, ensuring that all product is usable over the life of the container in service.

Do not apply to porous surfaces. Do not apply if temperature is below 45F. The coating is resistant to attack by solvents used in paint. Application temperatures range from 120F to no lower than 45F. Application thickness when wet should be at least 15 mils thick for easy removal. Made in the USA

Pat,  I have been meaning to thank you for your help in making this happen.

The Tubcoat is the best thing  since canned beer.  Such simple, strong and effective tub protection - one of the biggest pains in a bathroom project.
